Fearless leader, creative visionary, heartbeat and centre of our world are a handful of terms that describe Reisa.  Solely using the word designer is too vague for the energy and life that Reisa brings to BBID.  Design and creativity are rooted deep in her soul, stemming from a young age when she would save her allowance to buy wallpaper for her room when most girls were saving for Barbie’s.  While working as a researcher with the Vancouver Public Library, she expected to keep her passion for design as a hobby.  When her projects became so large that there wasn’t enough time in the day, she knew it was time for a career change. In 2000, she began work with Suite Dreams furniture and established their very successful design division.  In 2003, she spread her wings and founded Beyond Beige Interior Design and finally realized her lifelong dream.  Since then, Reisa has built a reputation and company based on her unique personal combination of elegance, innovation and versatility.  Reisa takes a down-to-earth approach to her client relationships and her flair and energy are both infectious and inspirational.

Reisa’s ten years of practical experience in interior design are backed by professional qualifications from The University of British Columbia, where she completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts and from the world renowned BC Institute of Technology she received a formal education in Interior Design and Entrepreneurship.

A native of Montreal, Canada, Reisa has travelled the world in search of ideas and knowledge.  From the ancient Pyramids of Egypt to Nicaragua’s Pacific coast, Reisa uses her travels to influence and spark ideas for her work. Whether it’s a design consult or an award-winning hospitality project Reisa approaches each project with creativity, knowledge and realism.

A local gal, Jo’s been involved in the Vancouver interior design world for many years.  She brings vast knowledge in the areas of customer service, retail, manufacturing processes, fabrics and color. Her passion for creating beautiful spaces prompted Jolene to obtain a diploma in interior decorating and get involved with local fabric and furniture wholesalers, which is where we recruited her.  After two years of being with BBID, Jo now brings our projects to life through project coordination.

Ashley has had an interest in design from a young age and her eye for colour led her to a position with ICI paints as a design consultant.  After spending time interacting with designers and educating them on colour, she decided it was time to become one.  Upon completion of her diploma in interior design at Fanshawe College in Ontario, Ashley packed up her car and made her way across the country to Vancouver, accepting a position here at BBID.  Ashley is the lead on all of our drawings and renderings and can be found assisting with design and management in the majority of our projects.

Culture surrounds us in the world, especially in the diverse city that we live in.  At the hands of our branding and culture creation is Scott. Client relations have been his life for the past ten years in local hotels, restaurants, law firms and retail stores and he now comes to us to create an energy and vibe surrounding our brand.

Keeping the financials on track is our lady Tina.  She has one of the most important jobs in this whole place as she takes the financial management off our back.  Tina has over eighteen years in retail accounting, working for communications and furniture suppliers.   We wouldn’t be surprised if she could do her whole job with her eyes closed.  She’s definitely one of our largest assets!
